The 2010 Pro bowl will take place today at 7:20pm Eastern time. You can view the Pro Bowl starting lineups for the AFC and NFC below: AFC NFC OFFENSE Peyton Manning QB Drew Brees Chris Johnson RB Adrian Peterson Le’Ron McClain FB Leonard Weaver Andre Johnson WR Larry Fitzgerald Reggie Wayne WR DeSean Jackson Dallas Clark TE Vernon Davis Jake Long* OT Jason Peters Ryan Clady OT Bryant McKinnnie Logan Mankins OG
The Saints march on due to a winning field goal kick in overtime. The Vikings fought hard but turnovers and penalties led to their demise. The New Orleans Saints are the NFC champions and advance to play the Indianapolis Colts in the Superbowl. This will be the first time the Saints have gone to the Superbowl. Final Score: Saints 31 Vikings 28
The Vikings get a crucial penalty which backs them out of field goal range. Brett Favre then throws a interception on the very next play and the 4th quarter ends in a 28 to 28 tie. What a game!!! Onto overtime!!
I expect this game to be a high scoring shootout. Both teams have explosive offenses and are capable of putting alot of points on the board. I favor the Vikings in this game because Favre is playing like he has something to prove and I like the ground game with Adrian Peterson. My prediction: Vikings 34 Saints 31
After defeating the New York Jets today, the Colts will be headed to the 44th Superbowl. The Jets came out playing great defense as expected, but were not able to keep Peyton Manning from getting the ball in the end zone. Peyton Manning ended up throwing for 377 yards and 3 TDs. The Colts defense stopped the Jets running attack holding them to only 86 yards on the ground. Sanchez played pretty well throwing for 2 TDs but it wasn’t enough. Final Score: Colts 30 Jets 17
The Jet’s have a good shot at winning this game mainly because of their shutdown cornerback Revis. I expect a very close game but I have to give the edge to the Colts because of their experienced quarterback Peyton Manning. My Prediction: Colts 20 Jets 17I
The say defense wins championships and the team with the better defense won the game. Veteran field goal kicker Nate Kaeding missed 3 field goals for the Chargers. Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers threw for 298 yards but had 2 interceptions. Jets Running Back Shonn Greene rushed for 128 yards and a touchdown. Rookie quarterback Mark Sanchez threw for 100 yards and 1 TD to lead the Jets to a close win. The New York Jets will advance to play the Indianapolis Colts in the AFC championship game.
The Minnesota defense proved too much for the Dallas Cowboys as Tony Romo got sacked a whopping six times. Brett Favre on the other hand had a great day throwing for 4 touchdowns in an impressive win. The Vikings will advance to play the New Orleans Saints in the NFC championship game.
The Colts did everything I said they needed to do to win this hard hitting game against the Baltimore Ravens. They controlled time of possession, they stopped the run, and they forced 4 turnovers. The Colts advance to the AFC championship game and the Ravens prepare to go home after tough loss.
Keys for Ravens: Run the ball, Limit penalties, Limit turnovers, Get pass rush Keys for Colts: Stop the run, Force turnovers, Control time of possession The Ravens want to run the ball as much as possible and the Colts want to stop the run and force Joe Flacco to make plays. Although the Colts are the heavy favorites, don’t count out the Ravens. The Ravens are hungry and want revenge for the 17 to 15 loss to the Colts earlier in the season. Look forward to a classic playoff battle!
