Brett Favre, who is one of the toughest quarterbacks in NFL history, finally ended his streak of 297 consecutive starts today. Favre’s amazing streak of 297 straight starts ended because of his banged-up right shoulder and numb hand which caused him to remain on the sidelines during the Vikings vs Giants game. The New York Giants went on to beat the Minnesota Vikings and win the game 21 to 3.
The Indianapolis Colts got beat by the Dallas Cowboys this week. Peyton Manning threw 4 interceptions, 2 of them were returned for touchdowns. The Colts are now 6 and 6 and run the risk of not making the playoffs this year. Manning hasn’t been playing very well lately throwing for a total of 11 interceptions and just 4 touchdowns in his last 6 games.
The Pittsburgh Steelers came up big in their will over the Baltimore Ravens Sunday night. Ben Roethlisberger had a bad foot and a bloody broken nose but still found a way to win against a tough Baltimore Ravens defense. Troy Polamalu was also a hero for the Steelers causing Joe Flacco to fumble in the fourth quarter leading to the game winning touchdown for the Steelers. The Pittsburgh Steelers now sit at the top of the AFC North with 9 wins and 3 losses, Final Score: Steelers 13 Ravens 10
My pick for the best game to watch this week is the Steelers vs Ravens game. It will definitely be some very hard hitting in this one. It will be interesting to see if James Harrison of the Steelers will pickup another fine for an illegal hit.
