Superbowl 47: The Harbowl
Many people are calling Superbowl 47 “The Harbowl” because for the first time in history to head coaches that are also brothers will face off in the Superbowl. John Harbaugh, the head coach of the Baltimore Ravens will go against his younger brother Jim Harbaugh who happens to be the head coach of the San Francisco 49ers. This isn’t the first time these two brothers faced each other however. Harbaugh Bowl I took place on Thanksgiving Day in 2011. Robert Griffin III: 2012 Offensive Rookie of the Year
The Washington Redskins may have mortgaged the farm to get him, but the acquisition of Robert Griffin III may well have been worth it. Believe the hype. RGIII is a beast. He helped get the Redskins back into the playoffs and has proven to be a leader on and off the field. Adrian Peterson: NFL MVP and 2012 NFL Offensive Player of the Year
Adrian Peterson won the NFL’s MVP Award as well as 2012 NFL Offensive player of the Year honors. It was well deserved as Peterson rushed for 2,109 yards, just 9 yards short of Eric Dickerson’s single season record. One year after major knee surgery, the Minnesota Vikings running back won the league’s highest individual honor along with its Offensive Player of the Year award, beating out Peyton Manning.
