The biggest story of the week right now is about the handshake that led to a dispute between the Lions head coach Jim Schwartz and the 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh after the game on Sunday. The San Francisco 49ers gave the Detroit Lions their first loss by beating then 25 to 19. Lions head coach Jim Schwartz didn’t appreciate the way 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh shook his hand after the game which led to the turmoil. The Dallas Cowboys were beating the Detroit Lions 27 to 3. That is when the comeback started. The defense was able to score on 2 interceptions and then Matthew Stafford and Calvin Johnson took over from there, leading the Detroit Lions to an amazing 34-30 victory over the Dallas Cowboys today. I guess you probably have heard the saying “you are what your record says you are” before. On Thanksgiving Day, the Bengals, the Lions, and the Cowboys proved this saying to be true. All three of three of these teams have bad records, all three of these teams loss on Thanksgiving Day, and all three of these teams are playing some bad football.
It was bound to happen sooner or later as the Buffalo Bills won their first game of the season today. The win came against the struggling Detroit Lions who have lost an NFL record 25 games in a row on the road. In what was a battle of two of the worst teams in the NFL, the Bills defeat the Lions by a score of 14 to 12.
