Adrian Peterson won the NFL’s MVP Award as well as 2012 NFL Offensive player of the Year honors. It was well deserved as Peterson rushed for 2,109 yards, just 9 yards short of Eric Dickerson’s single season record. One year after major knee surgery, the Minnesota Vikings running back won the league’s highest individual honor along with its Offensive Player of the Year award, beating out Peyton Manning. Favre’s Streak Finally Ends

Brett Favre, who is one of the toughest quarterbacks in NFL history, finally ended his streak of 297 consecutive starts today. Favre’s amazing streak of 297 straight starts ended because of his banged-up right shoulder and numb hand which caused him to remain on the sidelines during the Vikings vs Giants game. The New York Giants went on to beat the Minnesota Vikings and win the game 21 to 3.

The Saints are Going to the Superbowl

The Saints march on due to a winning field goal kick in overtime.  The Vikings fought hard but turnovers and penalties led to their demise.  The New Orleans Saints are the NFC champions and advance to play the Indianapolis Colts in the Superbowl.  This will be the first time the Saints have gone to the Superbowl. Final Score:  Saints 31 Vikings 28

NFC Championship Goes into Overtime!

The Vikings get a crucial penalty which backs them out of field goal range.  Brett Favre then throws a interception on the very next play and the 4th quarter ends in a 28 to 28 tie.  What a game!!! Onto overtime!!

Saints vs Vikings PreGame Analysis

I expect this game to be a high scoring shootout.  Both teams have explosive offenses and are capable of putting alot of points on the board.  I favor the Vikings in this game because Favre is playing like he has something to prove and I like the ground game with Adrian Peterson. My prediction: Vikings 34 Saints 31

Vikings Stun Cowboys 34 to 3

The Minnesota defense proved too much for the Dallas Cowboys as Tony Romo got sacked a whopping six times.  Brett Favre on the other hand had a great day throwing for 4 touchdowns in an impressive win.  The Vikings will advance to play the New Orleans Saints in the NFC championship game.
