The Cincinnati Bengals announced on Friday that they have hired former Oakland Raiders head coach, Hue Jackson, as their Defensive Backs and Special Teams Assistant. The move will bring Hue Jackson back home to the team he spent three seasons with from 2004 to 2006. Jackson was previously fired after just one season as the head coach of the Oakland Raiders. I guess you probably have heard the saying “you are what your record says you are” before. On Thanksgiving Day, the Bengals, the Lions, and the Cowboys proved this saying to be true. All three of three of these teams have bad records, all three of these teams loss on Thanksgiving Day, and all three of these teams are playing some bad football.
The Buffalo Bills prove that they are not the worst team in the NFL by beating the Bengals today. The Bengals might be the worst team in the NFL falling to 2 wins and 8 losses. The Buffalo Bills however are on the rise and got their second win of the season today by beating down the Bengals by a score of 49 to 31.
The Pittsburgh Steelers survived to beat the Bengals after almost blowing a 20 point lead Monday night. The Steelers elevate to 6 wins and 2 losses while the Cincinnati Bengals fall to a record of 2 wins and 6 losses. Terrell Owens caught 10 passes for 141 yards and 2 TDs but it wasn’t enough for the Bengals to pull it out in the end.
